What We Do

MedWise GPO is the solution to the rising medication cost for Nursing Facilities.

We have taken a proven system of managing medication cost and integrated it into Skilled Nursing Facilities’ Pharmacy Services. Traditionally, the Long Term Care Pharmacy and their consultants have been entrusted to help the Nursing Facility manage their prescription cost. This arrangement leaves the pharmacy responsible for managing the daily cost decisions on behalf of the Nursing Facility. A better solution is to have an experienced third party manage and implement cost decisions from the Nursing Facility’s perspective. This allows the pharmacy to focus its efforts on customer service and order fulfillment.

MedWise puts the Nursing Facility in full control of its medication cost. Our solution to managing pharmacy services is to implement a system that empowers the Nursing Facility to make their own decisions regarding their pharmacy cost. MedWise will simplify and manage this process by providing the facility with choices and strategies regarding their pharmacy services.

MedWise has the Long Term Care experience necessary to manage the Nursing Facilities’ changing medication needs. Our process is to implement a claims processing system that allows us to manage each prescription dispensed at the point of sale. The system’s capabilities allow us to implement and manage cost saving protocols as well as manage outcomes from the pharmacy, the consultant pharmacist and the physicians.
